Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev to take place at 'spectacular venue' - could be outside UK

Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev could take place behind closed doors or in a 'spectacular venue' outside of the UK. That's according to his co-promoter Ivaylo Gotzev, who is adamant the fight will take place this year.

The bout was originally scheduled to happen on June 20 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in north London.
But the coronavirus pandemic forced promoter Eddie Hearn to postpone the bout, with a view for the fight to take place on July 25.
If the plan is for a crowd to attend, Joshua and Pulev likely won't fight until September or October time - and it could happen abroad.
“We do understand some countries are experiencing tougher times because of this virus and the U.K. is one of them.
"So it will come down to their regulations if we can have the fight there or if we have to have it with no crowd or if we have to go somewhere else.”
Gotzev, like Hearn, also mentioned that it's very possible that the fight takes place without a crowd.
“Just because there might not be a crowd, rest assured it will be an exciting fight for the people watching on TV,” Gotzev added.
